Introduction The Constitution, is the supreme law. It is, in terms of Hans Kelsen, the “grundnrom” of the State. All the other laws of the land derive authority from the Constitution. As the jurist, H.L.A Hart puts it, the Constitution works as the touchstone for all the other laws. The validity of other laws is to be checked according to the Constitution.
